The South Carolina Aquarium

Located right on Charleston Harbor, The South Carolina Aquarium is home to more than 5,000 plants and animals. Charles Towne Landing

Charles Towne Landing, a state park that was once the site of the first permanent settlement in the Carolinas, has a natural habitat zoo featuring animals indigenous to the Carolina Lowcountry including bison, bears, and elk. The Otter Exhibit features a viewing area that provides a look at the animal’s movements underwater. Programs are also held regularly on The Adventure, a replica trading ship moored at the park.

The Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry

Take a visit to The Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry, Charleston’s only hands-on learning environment designed just for children ages three months to 12 years and their families. The museum’s eight interactive exhibits range from a pirate ship to a Medieval Castle to an area just for infants and toddlers. Charleston RiverDogs

Bring the entire family to a Charleston RiverDogs baseball game. Games are held every week at Joe Riley Jr. Park located downtown. Each night, the RiverDogs have a variety of family-friendly activities.
